Championed by Liberty throughout the ages, the wonderful lily flower in its various forms was closely associated with the Aesthetic, Arts & Crafts as well as Art Nouveau movements. Inspired by a hand-painted artwork discovered in the Liberty archive, this large-scale portrait is a modern rendition of the original, featuring stylised blooms over an undulating, acanthus leaf trail. This print is part of the Floral Library narrative of the AW24 collection, which studies the subject through the Botanist’s eye, cataloguing and exploring an assortment of species as well as a being a celebration of key florals throughout Liberty’s history.
